Dear Jorge Posada,

It has been an honor to be able to grow up watching you play. Thank you for choosing to retire as a Yankee rather than going somewhere else. Thank you for all the great memories you have given us. The passion you have shown for the game and the love you have for your team makes me proud to be a fan of yours. Knowing that we won’t hear the Hip Hip chants during a game breaks my heart but I know you’ll be back. Not as a player but as someone I consider to be a Yankee legend. I appreciate all you have done for the Yankees and I wish you nothing but the best in the future. I’m going to miss you.
